Editorial policy

Primary sources first. Regulatory facts, such as amounts, fees, documents and rules, come exclusively from official sources: the Department of Immigration and Emigration, the Central Bank of Sri Lanka, the Inland Revenue Department and other government bodies. Third-party sites are never treated as sources for regulatory facts.

Nothing invented. We do not publish invented statistics, fabricated testimonials, fictional experts or unofficial processing-time promises. Where the official position is unclear, such as the dependant age limit, we say so rather than filling the gap.

Estimates labelled. Third-party costs and timeframes vary; wherever we present them, they are marked as estimates and separated from verified figures.

Independence. Commercial partnerships, where they exist, are disclosed and never influence regulatory content. The site is not affiliated with the Government of Sri Lanka.

Maintenance. High-priority pages are reviewed on a scheduled cycle, and every fact carries its verification date. Changes are logged publicly in the change log.
